In Abuja there is this trend of a significantly weak response of housing supply to change in demand. ideally,higher demand levels should translate into increased supply. Rather, the Abuja market has witnessed higher price level in response to the increased demand level. This poor supply responsiveness is also one of the factors which have resulted in marked volatility in house prices in the FCT, which has in essence resulted and fueling concerns about affordability with its consequent unwelcome effects on individuals such as reduced spending power.
